Apple iPhone 6 Will Kill Samsung Galaxy S5 Orders as Consumers Wait for September Release

Apple's iPhone 6 will find its way to the market sometime around fall. Even as early as now, market predictions indicate that the upcoming flagship from Apple may kill Samsung Galaxy S5 orders as the release date approaches.
Analysts and leads from developers maintain that the company will be releasing two variants. More importantly, predictions remain positive about the market performance of the iPhone 6 especially the larger version. Still, industry observers warn about possible changes in the market prior and after the release. According to BGR, anticipation for Apple's offerings can prompt potential customers to hold on to their existing device or hold out purchasing a new one any time sooner. The hype building over Apple's devices can also throw off the gears for other competitors in the market who just released new offerings.
According to Chinese website UDN, Samsung may be reducing the number of Galaxy S5 orders as much as 25% in the fall or third quarter. This is in preparation for the iPhone 6. According to the report, the Korean tech giant is concerned if people will be willing to purchase any smartphone until the big revelation from Apple.
The report estimates that shipments for Galaxy S5 can go down from 21 million to 15 million starting second quarter going to third quarter. Samsung Galaxy S4 orders can also go down around 5 to 6 million units. These are just estimates and not official confirmation from Samsung.
On other side of the, Apple Insider reported about Morgan Stanley's AlphaWise survey revealing Apple products remain one of the most appealing items around. In fact, analyst Katy Huberty revealed that according to the AlphaWise Smartphone Tracker results, consumer demand for iPhone units reached up to 39 million units. This is higher than the 32.1 million iPhones shipped in the same June-quarter in the previous year. If this continues, Apple can hit jackpot with the iPhone 6.
