Apple has a tradition of launching its most coveted device at its annual fall event. This year, the expected release date of the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is in September 2016.

However, Apple has not announced the official iPhone 7 release date.

Speculations indicate that Apple's iteration of its iPhone 6s will bring in ground-breaking technologies into the smartphone domain. Rumours also hint that with the iPhone 7, Apple would make dramatic design improvements.

French site NoWhereElse claims to have found some first-glimpse images of the re-designed Apple iPhone 7 which reveals that the device will be thinner than ever.

The leaked render indicates that the purported Apple iPhone 7 lacks the antenna lines used on both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. The recent leak supports previous rumours that the iPhone 7 will axe its antenna bands and camera hump.

Speculations suggest that the device will also lack a 3.5mm headphone jack and would be thinner than the iPhone 6s. Aesthetically, the next generation of iPhone is quite similar to its predecessor. The report further states that the headphone jack will be replaced by a second speaker.

Apple is also rumoured to add a dual-lens camera setup for the iPhone 7. The tech giant is also believed to be testing several prototypes of the device, including a variant with dual-lens camera set-up. The next-generation of iPhone is also speculated to sport water resistance, more internal storage, a new panic button and a unique self-healing functionality.
