The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus phablet are doing pretty well across the globe. Already rumours about the successor models are swirling up. The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 7 are going to arrive in 2015. According to Stabley Times, in order to keep up with competition with Samsung that has been releasing handsets more frequently and also to boost the sales of iPhone, Apple will be releasing handsets every six months.
Since several years, Apple has been releasing 'S' edition handset as upgraded edition of their flagship devices considering the fact that most carriers let their users to upgrade every 18 to 24 months. However, now this formula has become somewhat out-of-date because carriers like Verizon and AT&T are offering respective plans like NEXT and EDGE that allow users to switch to upgraded smartphones more frequently.
Stabley Times goes on to say that the forthcoming iPhone 6S and the iPhone 7 will arrive in the coming fall. By this, Apple will be launching two handsets a year with a time gap of about six months. The iPhone 6S will slot itself as a midrange handset whereas the iPhone 7 will come out with a premium price tag.
The source says that Apple is skeptical to launch the Apple Watch without a new iPhone handset alongside. Hence, the iPhone 6S release date in spring will coincide Apple Watch release. The Apple iPhone 7 release date will be in September 2015.
According to Latino Post, the Apple iPhone 6S specifications will include a sapphire display and a professional DSLR quality camera. Christian Today states that Apple is working with Sony to bring two-lens system for shooting DSLR quality images.
The Apple iPhone 7 specifications is rumoured to include a 21 MP rear camera and it will also house the same type of display from Foxonn that is to come on iPhone 6S. The report about Foxconn on manufacturing iPhone 7 sapphire display has come just days after GT Advanced Technologies, Apple's initial provider of sapphire glass display filed for bankruptcy. The iPhone 7 will be powered by a quad-core A8 chipset and will come with a huge internal storage of 256 GB.
