Apple iPhone 7 specs and features reports hint design revamp, big camera upgrade
Apple iPhone 7 reports point to specs and features that could surprise longtime iOS users. A design revamp is supposedly in order, while the camera feature will reportedly see a big improvement. There is still no release date for the next new iPhone, but reports keep flooding in with regards to hardware changes.
The next iPhone model, to be known as the Apple iPhone 7, will reportedly come in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes. The design revamp is not expected to be revolutionary but more focused on functionality. For instance, Apple will reportedly lose the 3.5 mm headphone jack to improve the next iPhone’s water resistance feature, reports The Wall Street Journal.
Other reports are pointing to improved speakers on the top and bottom of the highly anticipated iPhone 7 in lieu of headphone jacks.
A French website has recently released supposedly leaked photos of iPhone 7. The image shows a larger camera sensor at the back, hinting at better performance especially in low light situations. Apple may be offering a significantly improved photography experience for the users.
Meanwhile, AppleInsider reports the iPhone 7 will come in a darker shade of space gray. On top of the abovementioned hardware changes, the site is also saying the next iPhone will reportedly sport an upgraded "A10" processor and a 256-gigabyte storage tier, presumably for users to accommodate more photos and media files.
GSM Arena has some supposedly leaked iPhone 7 photos, which points to a bit of a hump for the next Apple smartphone casing. The photos also match speculations that the audio jack is gone. The same report mentions there has been several iterations in the design of the next iPhone, so the photos could be mere basis for the final commercial design.
Analysts are saying it is likely for Apple to release the iPhone 7 models in September this year. More photos and reports are expected to come until then.
