Apple to launch redesigned MacBook Air at Worldwide Developers Conference 2016
The new MacBook Air will have a slimmer design
Apple is apparently organising to launch a renovated MacBook Air at 2016’s Worldwide Developers Conference, according to Taiwan's Economic Daily News. If Apple stays true to its recent record, WWDC 2016 will be held in June.
A news report today states the new MacBook Air will launch by the third quarter, which comes within with the July to September timeframe.
The new MacBook Air will have a slimmer design and will come in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, but it is uncertain if an 11-inch model will also debut, according to MacRumors. The new MacBook Air will have fully redesigned internal components and Apple is said to be working to develop these new components with the help of its suppliers.
Earlier this year, Apple launched the new ultrathin MacBook that has a 12-inch Retina display and ultra-low voltage Intel chips.
Many assumed that at some point the Air production will be halted because of lower sales, thereby allowing the MacBook to become Apple's mainstream notebook. It’s surprising the redesigned MacBook Air was given a new lease on life.
The 15-inch MacBook Air gives a clue as to Apple's vision for its future production while the 13-inch and 15 inches MacBook Air remains mainstream and the 12-inch MacBook resides in the ultraportable segment. And the MacBook Pro offers more power at those same sizes.
Caution should be observed with the latest Apple rumors, until or unless other supporting rumors surface in the coming months.
