Apple revealed recently a "Back to School" sales promotion this summer. The deal offers $100 Apple Store Gift Cards for consumers who purchase a new Mac. Those who will purchase an iPad or an iPhone will receive $50 App Store Gift Card. According to analysts, the new deals and discounts from Apple may also be the company's way of preparing for upcoming releases such as the iPhone 6, 2014 MacBook Pro and the iPad Air 2 this September.

Apple has started offering redeemable gift cards on future purchases in its store. Eligible purchases or consumers include faculty and students planning to purchase an iPad, iPhone or Mac. According to the terms, teachers and students who get a new Mac qualify for a $100 gift. Those who will purchase an iPhone or ipad quality for a $50 gift card. What many consumers will like even more is that the discounts will be offered on top of the discounted pricing for faculty and students. The Cupertino Company has been advocating the use of its device to drive education. The back-to-school promo is one of its ways of encouraging usage.

According to Apple Insider, particular Mac models can be purchased around $200 so long as it is for educational purposes. The iPad, on other hand, nets around $30. However, Apple did not offer the iPhone for educational gift cards and discounts. The iPhone is also not part of the on-contract buys.

Apple will be offering the Back to School promotions from July 1 until September 9, 2014. Students and teachers can avail of the discounts via Apple's physical outlets or U.S. Online Apple Store. According to Apple Insider, there are also other online sellers offering discount promotions. Students and teachers can go to these stores for additional discounts. Some of these sellers include MacMall, Adorama, B&H and Best Buy.

Apple will reportedly release its new hardware cycles this September.
