The tech industry has gone beyond battling over specs as companies like Apple ventures into other services like music streaming. In the company's recent attempt to go beyond its usual offerings, Apple Music is going against other services like Spotify and Tidal to dominate smartphones. The more important question now is which service will emerge as victorious?

The music industry may have found its way back against illegal distribution as cheaper streaming services arise. The big question now among users is what each emerging service has over the other. In a nutshell, Apple Music brings more than 30 million songs on its initial offering. Likewise, using the Connect feature will allow users to view and access uploaded content from artists not available in iTunes yet. The app also offers five primary features: My Music, Connect, Radio, New and For You.

Apple Music's "For You" tab offers a range of new releases, albums and playlists. As for Beats Connect, it allows unsigned artists to interact with fans allowing them to upload their preferred content. Apple's Music comes with a price at $9.99 per month.

Spotify, on the other hand, has been managing successful business garnering as many as 20 million users. The company has also signed deals with Universal, EMI, Warner and Sony since its launch last 2008. The apps is available in ad-supported and paid-for versions. As the company opens to Canada, its user base continues to grow. Despite the 20 million users, only around six million users are known to pay for the service all the while available free for tablet, computer and mobile.

Tidal in the meantime banks on its selling point as a "true lossless stream" available at 1.4 Mbps. It pushes the legitimate CD quality topping Spotify running at 320 kbps. The streaming service is associated heavily with Jay-Z following acquisition. Plus, it offers Taylor Swift's music unlike in Spotify. Tidal offers free trial but also comes with a price. It is available on iOS and Android devices. However, according to The Verge's report, the initial review results may be surprising to some. For instance, Spotify only performed slightly worse compared to Tidal and Apple Music overall.

Tidal, despite its lossless quality, also did not reportedly walked away as the clear winner. For some users, Tidal and Spotify do not differ much in quality or at least difference is irrelevant. The clear winner will depend on the preference of the user but price can also be a deal breaker. Apple Music has yet to perform before consumers can narrow down a definite verdict.
