The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders began in the US on Sept. 12, and the shipping of the devices will start on the Sept. 19 release date. On the same release date, the iPhone 6 models will also be made available in countries like the UK, Australia, Puerto Rico, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, and Germany.

On Sept. 15, Apple announced that the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will be also available to 22 additional countries on Friday in the coming week. According to the press release from Apple, the new iPhone 6 models are scheduled to release in countries like Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and United Arab Emirates on the Sept. 26.

PhoneArena says China was also supposed to be one of the countries to receive the new handsets on Sept. 26, but it is no longer present on the list. The exact reason as to why China is not included in the list has not been disclosed by Apple. Last year, the Cupertino company had released the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C with other countries on the scheduled release date.

Apple adds on to say that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders have broken all the older first pre-order records. The Cupertino company created a record by selling more than 4 million iPhone 6 units in the initial 24 hours.

The demands for the new iPhones in the US have been so enormous that the current stock of the iPhone 6 units has depleted. Many customers that placed pre-orders starting from Sept. 12 are going to receive the handset starting from this Friday. However, significant numbers of other customers are scheduled to receive their iPhone 6 in the coming month.

Starting at 8AM on Sept. 19, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus can be purchased directly from the Apple retail stores in the US. If you have placed a pre-order, you can even go to the store and pick up your order. The iPhone 6 models are also going to be made available by leading US carriers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint on Sept. 19.
