Apple is reportedly set to introduce its iPad Mini and a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro in an unveiling event on October 23.

John Paczkowski of AllThingsD wrote the main offering of the unveiling event could be the iPad Mini, while the new 13-inch Retina Macbook Pro would be on the side.

Paczkowski spoke to Topeka analyst Brian White to get a description of the Apple iPad Mini, even as the product name remained unofficial.

"(W)e believe the 'iPad Mini' could outshine the new iPad in terms of how the device feels in a consumer's hands," White said.

For the fans of Apple aesthetics, this is good news.

Meanwhile, Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac reported Apple may also announce a new Mac Mini at the event. Gurman was the first to write about the 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina display being unveiled at the October 23 Apple event.

"The new 13-inch MacBook Pro will be sold in two configurations, with differing processors and storage, and will be available for purchase soon after introduction," Gurman wrote.

Price of Apple iPad Mini and 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display

A popular German blog has reported the base price of the iPad Mini will be somewhere around €249 (around $323 U.S.). It is not clear whether that amount is already VAT inclusive.

As for the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, Paczkowski wrote:

"No word yet on price, though it will obviously be a bit less than the $2,199 baseline price of the 15-incher."

October 23 is only a week away. Apple will soon find out whether the market loves or hates its new devices.
