Apple appears to be gearing up for its launch event this coming October. According to reports, Apple will be releasing their latest edition MacBook Pro, iPad 5 and iPad mini 2. Along with this, Apple began selling refurbished units of their mid-2013 11-inch MacBook over the internet. It seems the tech giant is finally answering to consumers who have been pointing out the long drought of product releases.

Apple's online store now sells the refurbished airs three months after announcing the 2013 MacBook Air line. The tech giant has made some stock reconfigurations and people can now buy them over the online store. Apple has not announced whether they will be offering a refurbished version of the 13-inch model.

Apple's Intel Haswell-based Air allows it almost "all day" battery life. The device also comes with 4GB of RAM. The refurbished units are available at 15% off from the original price. The 128GB model starts at $849. This is $150 discount from the starting price of $999. The 256GB model, on other hand, is at $1010. This offers $180 discount from the original price.

The refurbished units from Apple come with a similar one-year warranty available in brand-new products. They also have gone through reliability tests. The units also pack on outer shells and brand new batteries.

MacBook Pro Coming Soon?

The hype for Apple's products continue to rise as October comes in. According to reports, Apple plans on releasing their latest MacBook Pro and iPads this coming October. There are several reasons why there is so much hype over the product.

Apple has proven itself a force and standard when it comes to tablets and notebooks. Analysts and consumers alike expect the tech giant to release another high quality device. Some of the expectations about the MacBook Pro based on the MacBook Air include:

  • Longer battery life - Haswell is already in MacBook Air, Apple will certainly include it in the Pro series. Haswell offers up to 80% battery improvement and that should materialize for MacBook Pro as well.
  • Better Memory - both iMacs and MacBook Air have been equipped with the PCIe storage instead of the usual hard drive or SSDs. This should also be the same for the Pro.

Apple will have to make an official announcement about the matter.
