Apple stores have a basic set-up. You go in the pristine environment and everything is neatly organized by each product. The iPods, iPhones, MacBooks and iPads are all arranged in their own sections and next to each product is a small piece of paper enclosed in plastic that shows the product's specs and price. Apple has decided to do away with this piece of paper and is now going hi-tech by replacing this with iPad 2s.

Apple has always been cutting edge and the next time you visit an Apple store this will even made more apparent with the iPad 2s around the store. Aside from giving specs about the products, the iPad 2s can also call a sales assistant and queue up.

These iPads are certainly eye catching but they're customized for Apple stores. Their home buttons are disabled and they are sealed inside plastic cases and securely attached to the table. You can't do more on them except look at the product's information. Thieves will have to look for other means of getting iPad 2 since even the most enterprising thief will have a hard time swiping them without being seen by a clerk or a security guard.

Apple isn't the first store to use an iPad 2 to enhance the shopping experience. Converse stores has used iPads in their stores to allow customers to design or customize their own shoes and make them in-store. One has to wonder why Apple hasn't utilized their own products to make their customer's shopping experience more unique. With this new development perhaps it won't be long before customers can use Apple's iPads to customize their own iPods or iPads. We can hope.
