Apple, one of the largest growing companies in the world recently released new updates for the company's generation Apple TV. Alongside the release of new features for this Apple product was also a slightly tweaked version of iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone 4S which sparked the interest of numerous Apple users.

The newly-released software update by Apple was for the second-generation Apple TV. This new software update means that the set-top box would be converted to version 4.4.4. This new update comes in the form of Build 9A406a and users could update their device directly in their Apple TV. For this new update, users could utilize the software version 4.4.4 and the direct download for this software comes with a 378MB file size. Despite that, specific improvements and features are not yet indicated for this new update.

Aside from this new update for Apple TV, the company also released a new software update of iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone 4S. Apple's latest iPhone already received the new iOS 5.0.1 update last Nov. 2011 and users who have updated their devices with this kind of software would not be able to get new updates. The new update was supposed to address battery life issues and bugs in Cloud documents. This newly-released update (alongside the release of new updates for Apple TV) is now available for download and it is named as 9A406 for Apple's iPhone 4S. If compared to the first update (9A405), there is only a subtle difference but this would play a big role in developing "Siri" for older devices. Previous updates for iOS5 do not fully support Siri in older Apple devices. This means that most of the ports for Siri found in iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod Touch were considered as "illegal". This new update features decrypted ramdisks which means that acquiring Siri files would be a legal and obtainable option for Apple users.

The release of this update was without fanfare and was carried out silently. Other details of this update were not provided by Apple which made some people question the reason on why such updates were provided by the company.
