Apple Watch: 18-Karat Gold Premium Smartwatch Edition To Be Priced At $5000--Reports
Apple Watch, the much-hyped smartwatch from the Cupertino company, was announced on Sept 9. It comes in three variants: Watch, Watch Sport and Watch Edition. The Watch Edition is the premium version of the smartwatch from Apple. On DaringFireBall, motable analyst John Gruber claims that the gold-decked luxury smartwatch would be priced as much as $5,000.
The Apple Watch features a stainless steel body while the Apple Watch Sport is designed with anodized aluminum exterior. The premium Apple Watch Edition, on the other hand, has been marvelously created with 18-karat gold.
The Apple Watch Sport will be available at a reasonable price of $349, Phone Arena reports. Apple Watch, with the stainless steel body, is expected to roll out with a retail price of $999. Meanwhile, since the premium Watch Edition features pure gold, Gruber feels that at the very least, the wearable will be priced at $1,999 when it retails in the coming year.
