Apple Watch Battery Would Require Users To Charge It Every Day
The much awaited Apple Watch was announced last Sept 9 along with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The launch event was quite grand, but sadly Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, did not reveal much about the Apple Watch. How long will the smartwatch's battery last? Apple did not announce anything significant about it but only stated that the users will have to charge it daily.
Apple is yet to disclose the battery details of Apple Watch. However, the world would come to know about it sometime before the smartwatch will be rolled out in the market in Feb 2015. According to Re/code, a spokesperson from Apple named Nat Kerris has informed them that the battery of Apple Watch can last "about a day right now" that means you will have to charge it every day.
Re/code adds that even after the launch event, Apple refrained from talking on the battery of Apple Watch when they were questioned about by the media. The source adds that the Cupertino is certainly not happy with the battery performance of their first ever smartwatch and before the device is made available next year they are most likely to improve on it.
Natt Kerris also added that Apple Watch has plenty of features that people are going to use them throughout the day. Hence, the Watch would require charging every night. The battery of Apple Watch supports MagSafe and wireless inductive charger.
On the other side, recently revealed smartwatches like Motorola Moto 360, LG G Watch R and Samsung Gear S are also known to last around a day. By Feb 2015, the battery performance of these Android Wear-powered smartwatches will be known. This would give buffer time to Apple to improve the battery performance of Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch will come out in the market in three variations, namely the Apple Watch that will come with aluminum body; the Apple Watch Sport will be sporting a stainless steel and lastly the Apple Watch Edition is a premium version decked with 18-karat gold.
The Apple Watch comes with numerous health features and wristband band options. Each smartwatch will come equipped with two display sizes of 1.5-inch and 1.65-inch. BGR claims that the Apple Watch would be priced $350 or higher.
