Also, Apple has listed down the countries where the Apple Watch will be made available on April 10 and they are the U.S., the UK, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch release date is apparently set for April 24 in the aforementioned countries.
Apple Watch Production
Apple says different variants of the Apple Watch come with different build materials. Notably, the high-end "Apple Watch Edition" features 18-carat custom yellow or rose gold. On the other hand, the “Sport” variant is apparently made of anodised aluminium case in silver or space grey. Plus, the standard watch is reportedly made of stainless steel.
Key Apple Watch Features
The key Apple Watch features include a Digital Crown, which helps the wearer to scroll, zoom and navigate smoothly without hindering the screen of the device. In addition, the Retina display combined with Force Touch reportedly can sense the difference between a tap and a press. This, in turn, helps in easily accessing specific controls. Also, the new Taptic Engine apparently has the capability to deliver a gentle tap on the wearer’s wrist in case there is a new notification or a message, says Apple.
Furthermore, the Apple Watch can be paired to the iPhones wirelessly and thereby, the wearers can access Internet. Users can also book cabs, make online check-ins for American Airlines flight and can remotely control Honeywell Lyric thermostat directly via the watch.
In addition, the Apple Watch can reportedly be used to track exercise, remind upcoming calendar events and make phone calls via the paired iPhone by making use of the built-in speaker and microphone, notes SMH. Speaking of battery life, the watch will apparently last for 18 hours. But then, SMH says, if the Apple Watch wearer would like to use this smartwatch as a wristwatch only for checking time, the battery will last for up to 48 hours. In any case, when the battery goes below the required level, the gadget will switch to a power-saving mode that displays only the time. Importantly, this power-saving mode will apparently last for 72 hours in the case of moderate-usage.
