Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference will soon be happening. According to the company's announcement, this year's WWDC 2014 will kick off on June 2 up to June 6 in San Francisco. According to recent information, the event will be attended by around five thousand developers. However, despite predictions of hardware updates during the event, it appears Apple will focus more on the iOS 8 and OS X 10.10.

According to a report by MacRumors, the company wants to focus on the introduction of the new upcoming software systems. While Apple emphasized it has no plans of merging the two, the OS X should share more design elements with the iOS soon. According to a quote by MacRumors:

"The new look will have similar toggle designs to iOS 7, sharper window corners, more defined icons across the system, and more white space than the current version. However, OS X characteristics like the Finder, multi-window multitasking, and Mission Control will not disappear in favor of a more iOS-like experience."

Apple plans on releasing the desktop OS around fall according to 9to5Mac. The new OS will also reportedly launch with a new hardware. Even though the upcoming OS X 10.10 has been called "Syrah," Apple has not confirmed the shipping name of the software. Apple is still securing trademarks to obtain a name that goes along the theme of the OS Mavericks. The upcoming OS X 10.10 will give an insight on what the next iMacs and MacBook Pros will offer. Apple remains tight-lipped on what people can expect.

As for the iOS 8, Apple has been reportedly working on iOS 8 features to push it further to 8.1. Some of the notable features to be included in the iOS 8 are the public transport assistant, healthbook and better Siri. This will give a good insight on what people can expect over the next iPhone 6. The predicted large display of the iPhone 6 should also include additional features to the iOS 8. According to Apple employees, Apple will include a "multi-resolution support" to the OS to support both sizes of the iPhone.

The iCloud will also go through some considerable changes. Apple plans on transforming the platform into a more developer friendly component. Siri and Shazam may also be integrated with one another allowing people to recognize songs through the voice prompt.
