Apple’s App Finds Lost iPhone
A man found his lost iPhone using Apple's Find My iPhone app.
Ken Stewart of Fontana, Calif., lost his beloved iPhone as it slipped from the pockets of his pants at a Taco joint after enjoying salsa.
Stewart did not only lost his phone but also his documents, files, photos and other stuff stored in his iPhone. Thus, he just has to face unpleasant security issues.
His wife, Anne Stewart, reminded him of the wonderful app that they can use to track the iPhone. The couple is MobileMe subscribers and they gained access to GPS-like feature of Find My iPhone.
The app was released last summer. Stewart used it before to track his iPhone misplaced in his home.
The couple located the iPhone found in a home of an unnamed woman and police authorities returned Stewart's lost iPhone.
After the "lost iPhone 5" controversy, tech giant Apple new app is a useful tool in locating lost iPhone. In order to gain access to the app, you have to be a MobileMe subscriber. But Apple is planning to shift to iCloud, making the app free as long as users provide Apple ID.
The Find My iPhone app served to be a helpful tool in reclaiming not only lost iPhone but as well as iPod Touch and iPad. Once the app is enabled, you can track the devices from another browser or from another iOS device using the same app.
