Apple recently launched the iPad Pro at US$799 (AU$1,120), which is a lot less expensive than Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 priced at US$899 (AU$1,260). The A9X chip used in the iPad Pro makes it 80 percent faster than most other PCs shipped this year.

You get different cellular and storage capacities for the iPad Pro while Surface Pro features three processor tiers with varied storage options. Apple’s A9X has gotten excellent results in single core and multicore tests, and helps generate an extra million and half pixels for its display.

Microsoft tried to impress tech connoisseurs in media with its Core i7 the company claims is twice faster than Apple’s MacBook Pro. Apple, however, said this claim was later proved wrong, according to Apple Insider.

Amidst mixed reviews, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro has received huge applause for being the thinnest and power-packed device inside a 6.5 mm body of brushed aluminium.

Indeed, the iPad Pro is superior in performance and speed to the MacBook Pro that lacks a quality graphics chip. GFXBecnch test results show the iPad Pro is a race car that surpasses most of its competitors, claims Forbes.

Apple also claims the iPad Pro has the highest resolution display on any iOS device at 2732 x 2048 and 264 pixels per inch,. The screen has no 3D touch technology, however.

The device uses an 8 MP rear camera also used in iPad Air 2, the sixth-generation iPod Touch and iPad Mini 4. As for now, the Core i5 processor is available but fans will have to wait for the Core-i7 version that will start shipping in December.
