English Premier League titan Arsenal has been reported to be interested in signing FC Basel right-back Fabian Schar.

The Swiss international was named man-of-the-match on Tuesday, following a stellar performance against Chelsea in the Champions League.

Schar, who subjected himself to an internship program for a Swiss bank years ago, may consider on focusing his thoughts full-time on playing the beautiful game as he is now turning the heads of high profile clubs in Europe.

"I am one of those rare footballers who has another career ready," Schar told The Metro.
"Besides, it's no harm to know how to manage money."

At 21, he has already been capped 5 times for the Switzerland men's team, while scoring 3 goals in the process.

The race to land his signature is definitely on, but rumours linking him to a possible switch to the Emirates might see his stocks get a dramatic increase in value.
