Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag has been making waves as a next-gen game, but for those who are still enjoying the thrill of its open-world predecessor, here are some helpful ways for you to enjoy the game more.

Easy money

This cheat is always a good find in any game that requires good loot to advance. Cheat Code Central reports that spawning and looting convoys can easily rake you in a good deal of money.

These can range from carriages guarded by soldiers in the Frontier area, so always be on the lookout. For a 50-50 chance to find a convoy, you can expect one in front of the Templar Front, southwest of the map. You can loot the convoys as many times as possible.

Easy incognito

Being a wanted individual is a difficult situation when you're trying for stealth, which is why one easy trick to go from notorious to incognito is to fast travel when you are unseen by the enemy. This saves you the trouble of bribing or tearing down posters.

Get the Shard of Eden

Want to know how you can limit the chances of getting hit by a bullet? An easy way is to get the Shard of Eden.

This can be done after you've completed all Captain Kidd missions, which are five in total, and you'll get the shard. This will lessen your chances of being hit by a bullet as it will deflect them while creating a yellow animation as per Cheat Code Central.

New Animus level

If you want more than just Assassin's Creed 3's twelve main story Memory Sequences, you can actually go further with a side quest dubbed as Animus Synching.

Computer and Video Games reports that you can play this game online with the main goal of tracking down the locations of the ten Pivots.

This is done via triangulation using Pivot markers, and in successfully doing so, you get to unlock a new cheat for the main menu with each targeted Pivot.

You can use the Animus Synching menu to see your progress and be updated with the next Pivot. The main reward for unlocking all ten Pivots is a Head in the Cloud achievement trophy.
