During the IFA event, Asus had revealed the ASUS Zenwatch and now the Taiwanese tech giant is all set to organize an event on October 28. It will be held in Japan. The company has already sent invitations to the media and the invitation reads 'Unlock the Future.'

The ASUS Zenwatch that was showcased at the IFA 2014 event comes with a 1.63-inch AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. It has a pixel density of 278 ppi.The smartwatch from ASUS is powered by Snapdragon 400 SoC that delivers a clocking speed of 1.2 GHz processing speed. It is coupled with 512 MB RAM. It has an internal storage capacity of 4 GB.

According to GSMArena, the forthcoming event will be a local event. First, ASUS had rolled out a countdown timer that is counting down till the upcoming ASUS event and then two teaser images were launched. PhoneArena says that the first image showcases bottom portion of a handset with metallic appeal along with a red band. The second image shows a square-shaped device along with metallic finish that appears like a smartwatch.

Since both the images have been released by ASUS, the event will surely take place on October 28. According to Loadthegame, the Asus Zenfone though priced at reasonable rates has not gained good popularity and hence the company may launch refreshed handsets on October 28.

The source claims that since the forthcoming ASUS products are going to be unveiled in Japan, the very country may start selling these new products. Loadthegame feels since the ASUS image features a device with red colorued metallic frame that is similar to ASUS Zenfone 6, the company may launch an upgraded version of Zenfone 6.

Even though ASUS did not make any significant announcement during the IFA event, it did take a jab at Apple by stating that at the price of a 4.7-inch iPhone 6, customers can purchase nearly six Zenfone handsets. It asked a question to the audience whether they would prefer to buy six Zenfones for the entire family or purchase one iPhone for yourself.
