Asus ZenFone 2 vs Galaxy Note 4 – Asus Flagship Is A Real Threat To The Best-Selling Smartphone Of 2014
Asus unveiled the all new ZenFone 2 during the Consumer Electronics Show on Jan 6. The ZenFone 2 has powerful specs that can easily compete with any of the flagship smartphones that are currently available in the market. Here is a comparison between the Asus ZenFone 2 and the Galaxy Note 4 on aspects like display, processor, camera and battery
Display And Procesor
The Asus ZenFone 2's 5.5-inch display supports full HD resolution with 403 ppi whereas the Note 4 is one of the few smartphones that support quad HD resolution on its 5.7-inch display. The pixel count offered by Note 4's display is 515 ppi. Even though Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a better display, the price tag of $199 on ZenFone 2 is certainly a device that does well in the screen department.
The ZenFone 2 is available in two editions, the basic version that is powered with a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor along with 2 GB of RAM and the other higher-end version that features a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor along with 4 GB of RAM. By this it becomes the first smartphone to come equipped with more than 3 GB of RAM. PhoneArena claims that Intel Atom processor housed inside the Asus flagship can deliver awesome performance like the Snapdragon or Exynos chipset of Galaxy Note 4. The ZenFone 2 may offer smoother and faster processing power than the Samsung flagship. The PowerVR G6430 is meager when compared to the Adreno 420 for Snapdragon edition or Mali-T760 for Exynos edition of the Galaxy Note 4, states PhoneArena.
Camera And Battery
The ZenFone 2 is equipped with 13 MP PixelMaster camera on its rear panel that comes with features like f/2.0 aperture lens, dual-colour dual-LED flash and autofocus. The 16 MP shooter of Galaxy Note 4 is blessed with optical image stabilization feature and is able to capture stunning photos both indoors and outdoors. According to PhoneArena, the ZenFone 2's camera can snap brighter photos as it can supports 400 percent more lighting that can beat Note 4 in this aspect camera comparison. However, it lacks optical image stabilization.
The quad HD display of Galaxy Note 4 can deplete its 3200 mAh battery quite fast whereas the full HD resolution of Asus ZenFone 2 may not put that kind of pressure on the 3000 mAh battery. Both the flagships support fast charring technologies that can recharge them in lesser time.
