“The Avengers: Age of Ultron” director Joss Whedon has recently revealed in his interview to SFX magazine that directing the “The Avengers” sequel was a “nightmare.” The actor added that he yearns to direct simpler films like “Serenity” as it is hard to pull off films like “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Whedon has also directed the prequel to the “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “The Avengers.” However, things have reportedly gone a notch higher in the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” as a slew of new characters have been introduced. The Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver are the new entrants in the avengers team and according to Whedon he had to ensure that all the characters fit together.

“They’re very disparate characters. The joy of the Avengers is they really don’t belong in the same room. These guys are just all over the place. And so it’s tough,” he added as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Whedon also compared the avengers to the X-Men characters and said that unlike X-Men, the avengers don’t look similar and are “not tortured by the same thing.”

In the film, The Vision will be played by Paul Bettany, Scarlet Witch by Elizabeth Olsen and Quicksilver by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The storylines of these characters has been kept under wrap. Meanwhile, in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” the main adversary will be Ultron. He will wreck havoc for the avengers. He is an artificial intelligence who has been created by Tony Stark. The avengers will come together to save the world from Ultron.

The film has been written by Whedon and its third trailer has already been released which gives detailed look at the Ultron. He is shown saying that he was “designed to save the world. People will look to the sky and will see hope” but according to Ultron there is “only one path to peace” and that is the human extinction.

It is also expected that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will prove a big office success just as its predecessor. “The Avengers” was the highest grossing film of 2012 and made $1.518 billion worldwide. “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is scheduled to released on May 1,2015. It will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D. The film will be followed by “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1” and “Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.”
