‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’: Kevin Feige Comments On Spider-Man's Cameo Appearance
Spider-Man is rumoured to have a cameo appearance in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” specifically at the post-credits scene. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently addressed those rumours and confirmed that the web slinger doesn’t have a role to play in the sequel.
In an interview with Collider, Kevin Feige laid to rest those rumours of a Spider-Man scene happening in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Feige was asked whether they have filmed a “Spider-Man thing that was gonna go after the credits” of “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” In response, Feige just shook his head from side to side and when asked if the Spider-Man cameo rumours are true he simply said, “No.”
According to Comicbookmovie, among those rumoured cameo appearances of the Spider-Man in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” include a CGI version of him swinging in New York City. It may reportedly also include a mere mention of any name that references to the web slinger, such as the Daily Bugle or a mention of Spider-Man’s name in the film. However, as what Kevin Feige had confirmed, Spider-Man does not have any scenes in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
However, the Wall Street Journal has confirmed that Spider-Man will have a cameo appearance in “Captain America: Civil War.” Spider-Man is set to appear in the film considering his importance in the “Civil War” comicbook version. His appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” on May 1, 2016 will reportedly be his introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe before he appears in his solo Spider-Man reboot on July 28, 2017.
Spider-Man’s cameo appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” reportedly includes a scene where he meets Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man and Black Widow. According to Comicbookmovie, the web slinger will have his new suit handed to him by Tony Stark after the latter recruits him to be a member of the Avengers.
However, it’s still uncertain whether this scene will be played out in the middle of the film or at the post- credits scene. Likewise, it’s still uncertain whether viewers will see Peter Parker or Spider-Man himself in “Captain America: Civil War” as no other further details have been revealed regarding his cameo appearance.
