Ms Cote listed on her Facebook profile that she is a teacher at a private elementary school and studied at Trent University. Although she lives in Vancouver, she is from Timmins, Ontario.

From MaFieH: "I do believe Jax Cote is an 'uneducated' educator with values lost somewhere in the middle of the storm."

Others wished her ill, like Jays Alvarez who tweeted:

Jeffrey Uy Hamac wrote: "Can someone forward this to the Canadian board of education!!!"

These posts were made just hours after Ms Cote made the racist remarks, indicating that a social media version of Haiyan is moving swiftly to Canada to storm the educator's life and teach her more manners and respect for other nationalities at a time when the country is battling the most powerful storm for the year,

But for Ms Cote, this may yet be the most powerful storm to hit her life, and she would likely regret later ever posting a racist comment in her Facebook account.
