Bam Margera breaks down in Dunn's accident site [VIDEO]
One of Dunn's closest friends and Jackass co-star Bam Margera speaks out his sadness during his first interview after the tragedy.
News footage has been released of Dunn's best friend, Bam Margera, breaking down in sadness and unexplainable sorrow. Fox 29, a news channel, sent Chris O'Connell at the West Chester, Pennsylvania crash site where he saw Dunn's co-star and friend. "I've never lost anybody that I care about, he's my best friend" says Margera before cutting his breath with painful sobs. Margera adds he was currently in Arizona with friends when he heard about the shocking news. "I was in Arizona with best friends having the best time with friends" said Margera in a report posted on FoxPhilly's site.
Eyes swollen and incoherent, Margera continues by describing Dunn's personality. "He was the happiest person, the smartest guy with so much talent". According to the Viva La Bam! star, he "ripped out" parts of a van for no reason due to a fit, around the same time Dunn crashed his Porsche GT3 on the Pennsylvania road. When friends and family of Dunn contacted him to relay the news, Margera adds "it was the worst phone call of my life".
On Monday, Margera expressed his anger towards Roger Ebert, a movie critic who tweeted "friends don't let Jackasses drink and drive" just hours after news of Dunn's demise broke. Margera responded "I just lost my best friend, I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of s**t roger ebert has the gall to put in his 2 cents".
Recent police reports say Dunn's vehicle was going as fast as 160 kilometers per hour when it went off a guard rail, flew into the woods, crashed into a tree and caught on fire. The accident killed Dunn and his passenger Zachary Hartwell immediately. Before the accident, Dunn was reportedly drinking at a bar with friends. Autopsy on Dunn's remains is "under way", and toxicology reports will come back in four to six weeks.
