'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': Jason Momoa Was Shocked When His First Look As Aquaman Was Revealed
Jason Momoa was reportedly shocked when his look as Aquaman in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” was recently tweeted by director Zack Snyder. The actor opened about his character in his latest interview with Entertainment Weekly. He spoke about how pleasantly surprised he was when his look was revealed as he was keeping it a “secret” for a long time. He also added that his Aquaman’s poster was supposed to come out in 2016.
“Zack Snyder called me up and said, “I’m posting this picture now.” He’s just a genius and I love him to death. He sent it over and we’re in the middle of the editing suite for the thing I’m doing right now and we all freaked out, man. It was so amazing to see it come out,” he said to the website.
In his first look as Aquaman, Jason can be seen in the black and white costume and is sporting black and silver hair. His arms have fins like structure and he is holding his armour in his hands. According to comic books, Aquaman can breathe underwater and can speak to sea creatures in his own language. He originates from Atlantis and has superior swimming speed. He is endowed with telepathic capabilities, which lets him understand the language on earth.
It is not yet known what will be Aquaman’s storyline in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” When Jason was asked about his role in the film, he hinted that he might have a cameo in the film. He said that the film is about Batman and Superman. He even added that he has not had an opportunity to film an “action scene yet.” He went on to say that he is looking forward to work in “Justice League” movie. He will reportedly once again team up with Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in the film.
Jason will also be seen in a standalone Aquaman movie according to the reports. It is scheduled to be released in 2018. Meanwhile, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is scheduled to be released in 2016.
