‘Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' First Image Of Jason Momoa As Aquaman
Zack Snyder, the director of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” has shared the first image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman. Details about the plot of the movie and the significance of the character in the movie have still not been revealed by the producers.
Readers may remember Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo from the popular TV show “Game of Thrones.” Zack Snyder shared the first picture of the actor in full costume in his new role as Aquaman on his official Twitter account.
Jason Momoa can be seen wearing armour on his forearm and over the shoulder. The new costume of Aquaman mostly shows the actor to be bare-chested. The actor can be seen with long hair and sporting a beard.
Aquaman’s main weapon in the comic books is a Trident. Jason Momoa’s image shows the actor carrying a spear, which may be the Trident of Neptune. Zack Snyder also teased the actor’s role in “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
The image comes with a caption “unite the seven.” It is unclear if the director meant that Aquaman will be uniting the seven seas in the upcoming movie. The director also called the character “one true king.” Aquaman is seen as the ruler of Atlantis in the comic books.
Fans of the franchise expressed their excitement by commenting on the picture. Some of the fans expect more pictures to be shared of the character in the future. Some of the fans also talked about how they were not excited about casting Jason Momoa as Aquaman, until they saw this picture.
Jason Momoa will be reprising his role as Aquaman in the 2017 movie “The Justice League Part One” and in the 2018 solo movie “Aquaman.” It is still unclear if he will only be making a cameo appearance in “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” or if he will be playing a more substantive role.
“Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to be released on March 25, 2016 in the U.S and in the UK. The release date information in Australia has still not been revealed by the producers.
