Battlefield 4 Gets New Footage; COD: Black Ops 2 Zombies Gun Leaked; See Underwater Gameplay for Assassin’s Creed 4 [VIDEOS]
Battlefield 4 has been on a roll lately, impressing gamers with a new brand of realism to the gameplay as well as packing as much action into footages that can be seen online.
The latest round of exclusive footage comes from Pixel Enemy, wherein you have a video that showcases parachuting, RPG, man versus tank, capturing a flag, explosions--pretty much a very action and bullet-packed footage, all shot using the spectator mode.
In addition, DICE has also started rolling out more information about the FPS game via its Q&A section in the official EA Web site.
The latest installment talks about the vehicles to be expected once the game rolls out, but this time, the vehicular action is not limited to the staples seen in previous iterations but rather going over to the shores with more "amphibious combat" modes.
"With the new Chinese setting in the game, we can confirm these all-new Chinese vehicles in Battlefield 4, including (but not limited to) Type 99 MBT, ZFB-05 Armored Car, Z-9 Haitun Transport Hell, Z-10W Attack Hell, and DV15 Interceptor Attack Boat. Moreover, since there will be what DICE calls "amphibious assaults," you can expect attack boats like the RCB-90 and jet skis.
Assassin's Creed 4 takes free swimming and harpooning to greater heights
The open sea is pretty much the very ground on which Edward Kenway and his crew would be treading on for the latest installment of the game, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.
But aside from exploring the open seas on ship, there are two other activities that you could enjoy as a pirate, and it involves harpooning activity and what is called "free swimming."
In an interview with Eurogamer with Sebastien Berton, lead game designer, it was revealed that there will be a harpooning activity where you'll face against monsters of the sea.
The creators have put Edward Kenway, the lead character of the game, to close to the white beast in order to see the match of the sea. Berton says that there is a lot of strategy involved, putting in the concept of risk and reward against each other, where players can either keep attacking or wait for that moment when the creature will be most vulnerable.
"That was really our inspiration, recreating that epic fight between the man and the beast. That was our starting point," said Berton in the interview.
Aside from the dynamic gameplay--you never know what you can get in terms of the creatures you'll be hunting--it'll also be a section in the game where you can upgrade your character in a multitude of ways.

Speaking of underwater activity, Escapist Magazine also had an interview with Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag developers, this time with Michael Hampden, senior game designer for Ubisoft Singapore, on the underwater mechanics in the game.
Since AC4 has been known for the use of Parkour to explore its terrestrial territories, but this time, Escapist Magazine asks if it's possible to see the AC trademark of exploration underwater.
"Navigation has always been a huge pillar of Assassin's Creed. We have what we call on the ground 'free running,'" said Hampden to Escapist Magazine. "What we wanted to do is take the concept of free running and bring that underwater and develop a system what we call 'free swimming.'"
Free swimming grab objects underwater to heave yourself and get a speed boost underwater. There will also be a touch of realism, as gamers can expect Edward to swim and navigate through the environments in the game, instead of merely bouncing off structures and obstacles in his path.
As for environments that you can explore, Hampden said gamers can expect to go through shipwrecks, underwater caverns, currents, and more, bringing a variety of seascape and, at the same time, creatures of the deep.

Zombie gun teased for Black Ops 2?
The latest in the series of Letters from the Field, Treyarch has leaked another photo, this time of a gun, a Mauser (Prototype CXS).
The document, dated January 5, 1915, depicts the sketch of the gun and an attachment scope, and GameRanx reports that already, there is a string of discussions and speculations on what this may mean.
Other documents falling under the Letters from the Field collection include actual letters from soldiers, though a point of interest is that all of the documents, except for the gun sketch are all dated 1917.
The latest of the documents is a Periodic Arrangement of the Elements--whether this has anything to do with the first letter, which mentions a "new found element" that seems to be part of the mission.
