If you have been following Battlefield 4 for any preorder bonuses or next-gen information, there's one bit of hint that may clue you in on the game's future in PS4.

It looks like the PS4 will lose one of the much awaited games to hit the holidays, as Battlefield 4

In the official Battlefield Twitter account, it was stated that, "It has not been announced for PlayStation 4. So you will not need to worry about that."

This followed a fan query asking for any transfer details from the PS3 version to the next-gen console. This comes into conflict with previous reports, which have already stated that Electronic Arts and developer DICE have already confirmed a PS4 release.

Dating back to the Games Developer Conference last March, Trusted Reviews reported that an official EA who has been unnamed has already suggested that the game will be coming to current-gen and next-gen consoles such as PS4, as well as the PC.

Best to keep hopes up only for current-gen consoles, at least until further details of the actual next-gen consoles as well as Battlefield 4 plans become more concrete.

Assassin's Creed 4 reveals details for preorders

Preorders for the upcoming open-world adventure game Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is now available, with exclusive freebies depending on the retailer of your choice.

Polygon reports that Ubisoft will be releasing limited edition bonuses, from artworks to in-game items.

Amazon buyers can get the Hidden Mystery Pack with an additional mission, ship, and outfit. Along with this, you can also get access to Mystery Island and the ship of the Gentlemen Pirate for more side quests. Expect your codes to be emailed two days after the game is released for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

If you want more weapons and customization options, Best Buy preorders come with The Lost Treasure Pack, where you can get the Ivory Wheel, Spyglass Relic, and even customized ships for multiplayer modes. This pack is also best for those with the Wii U, as the pack is available for preorders for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Wii U.

Lastly, GameStop will give you a limited edition poster artwork, along with the Black Island for a pirate ship, gun, and costume skin.

You can also pre-order at Uplay, Walmart, and Target, but pre-order bonuses have not been specified for these retailers. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will be coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Wii U, and PC on October 29.
