Battlefield 4, Skyrim DLC and Legendary Edition & Bethesda’s New The Evil Within
E3 2013 is indeed something to look forward to as developer DICE finally announced that the first gameplay of Battlefield 4 will have a big reveal in June.
In addition, pre-orders, wherever you make them, for Battlefield 4 will also give you the free Drone Strike expansion pack, the first DLC for the game, for free!
So you can choose among any of the tie-up stores for the preorders, starting with GameStop and EB games, where you can get free dog tags for every pre-order. Or if you want a copy of Battlefield 3, you can pre-order at Waltermart for a free copy, reports GameRanx. For those buying at Retailer Target, you can get a $5 gift pact for your $1 preorder.
But for those who are expecting Battlefield 4 to have motion controls, it seems like it will be a wave of disappointment as DICE simply said no to any possible motion controls for the latest Battlefield installment.
"We are not interested in things that don't make the game better," said Patrick Bach, DICE executive producer, to Forbes. "There are a lot of gimmicks--people throwing money at us--'can you implement support for this quirky control thing.' No, it doesn't make the game better."
For the meantime, there are still no set dates as to when exactly gamers can get their hands on the game title. But the autumn release window is still set, according to The Examiner, so it's best to stay tuned, especially for those who are also looking at the release dates of the next-gen consoles, Xbox 720 and PS4.
Skyrim DLC and Skyrim: Legendary Edition
After rumors of a Skyrim Redguard surprise following Dragonborn, everyone had been on the lookout for the next DLC that will come out for the much-loved Skyrim game.
However, an official word from Bethesda has put Skyrim to rest as it aims to move on to other projects. While the decision has been received with mixed feelings, there is still a silver lining to be hand, coming in the form of Skyrim: Legendary Edition.
According to iDigital Times, the Skyrim: Legendary Edition, first seen in retailer Ultima's website, will come in a physical pack edition, so that those who want to experience the entire game and the three DLCs, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn, even without Internet access.
Supposedly set for release on June 7, the temporary price tag slapped to the edition pack is $54 for consoles and $44 for the PC version, and with no announcements for the Wii U.
After Skyrim: The Evil Within, Bethesda's newest project
Last week, Bethesda released a number of teasers regarding the next project, including a four-second and a six-second Vine video, both of which featuring slightly surreal and equally creepy images
Now, it has been revealed that Bethesda will be working on The Evil Within, which, according to EuroGamer, brings players back to pure survival horror, coupling limited resources with strategy, horror, and action.
The Evil Within is slated for a 2014 release for the PS3, Xbox 360, and the PC, as well as the next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox 720.
"We're incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within," said Shinji MIkami, who will be leading Tango Gameworks for the game, in an official statement. "My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action."
For the mean time, check out the debut trailer, which is much more complete and coherent compared to the teaser trailers that Bethesda has released last week.
