Best Mobile Gamer Gets Into Coveted Guinness Book of World Records
OnIine-game advertising and rewards startup Kiip is rewarding the best Mega Jump player a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Whoever scores highest in the iPhone game by the end of the contest period on Oct. 3 will earn the title "The Highest Score Achieved on Mega Jump" in the Guinness World Records 2012 Gamers Edition as the world record keeper starts listing the most talented mobile game players.
Kiip, which currently gives online game achievers rewards instead of points, will keep the online leader board for the said contest, which started Wednesday.
Kiip believes that a Guinness Book of World Record spot is the ultimate reward gamers can get and will take game engagement to a new level. It will also continue the growth of the network and broaded the Kiip brand.
"We wanted to find the ultimate recognition for the moments that fuel our network. And what could be more recognizing than a world record," said Kiip CEO Brian Wong, according to Mashable.
Mega Jump is a free iPhone game wherein characters are made to jump to collect items. iPhone users who don't have the app yet can download it from http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mega-jump/id370398167?mt=8 for the chance to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
Kiip shows banner and text ads when players achieves a higher game level, completes a challenge or scores a certain number of points. It also rewards every milestones, say, a voucher for six bags of popchips, a lipstick sample or a complimentary smoothie.
Kiip counts as its rewards partners Sephora, popchips, Homerun.com, Sony Dash, Vitamin Water, Dr Pepper, GNC, Carl's Jr and Hardee's.
