Best Samsung Galaxy S3 Deal: A Comparison Among Australian Carriers
Samsung's 2012 flagship phone Galaxy S3 was unveiled yesterday in its launching event in Sydney and was already available to consumers hours after the event.
Telstra, Vodafone and Optus are the three major networks in Australia. Vodafone and Optus immediately updated their websites and are accepting pre-orders for the new Samsung mobile phone. Just today, Optus' subsidiary Virgin Mobile Australia joined the networks and is now accepting pre-orders of the new Samsung Galaxy S3.
However, which among these carriers offer you the best deal for the new Samsung mobile phone?
All carriers stocked up with the 16GB Marble White version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and provide notice that the Pebble Blue version will be available on the first week of June.
Vodafone - Vodafone offers both 16GB and 32GB models of the gadget. Vodafone also offers double data inclusion for the first 12 months for those who will purchase the device before June 30. Vodafone offered the new 16GB Samsung Galaxy S3 in 12-month and 24-month plans. Plan holders can pay as low as $49 per month for the plan and the phone in a duration 24 months. This includes 200 MB of data and unlimited national voice.
Optus - Optus users can avail of the discounts on the handset charges. The Galaxy S3 will be yours for $65 for Optus plan and handset payment within 24-month lock-in period. This is inclusive of $650 unlimited standard national SMS and voice call to Optus handsets. Moreover, it is packed with 1.5GB data and unlimited access to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Optus gladly throw in two months free access fee in its plan.
Customers who buy before July 31 can also earn double the usual number of Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned for the life of the two-year contract. Unfortunately, this offer is not available to Virgin Mobile users, which only offers 16GB Marble White version of the Galaxy S3.
Telstra - Telstra also offers the new Samsung Galaxy phone and users can pay as low as $59 per month inclusive of $550 Calls and MMS, Unlimited Text and 1.5GB of data.
The official price for the 16GB model is $899, though I bet you can find it cheaper with a bit of shopping around. Online retail giant Amazon offers the new Samsung Galaxy S3 for $799. However, stocks are limited. Also, mobile phones retailer MobiCity is also offering the new Samsung Galaxy S3 for $799 with a 12-month warranty.
