Game developer Bethesda has announced a special edition for “Monopoly” that will be based on the “Fallout” games. This version of the popular board game is set to come out later this year, and it might coincide with the release of “Fallout 4” this November. The board game was revealed during a GameStop expo and was later confirmed by Bethesda Softworks on Twitter.

It seems like the game will be rich with the lore of every “Fallout” game, as IGN has confirmed that this version of Monopoly will feature locations from all the games in the series. It will be interesting to see if the board game incorporates other parts of the “Fallout” series, maybe even replacing dollars with bottle caps.

USAopoly will be making and releasing “Fallout Monopoly.” The company has also made “Monopoly” games based on popular titles like “Halo” and “Pokemon.”

Video games mixing up with board games are nothing new but are a testament to how popular that particular game series is. Games like “Street Fighter” and “Mega Man” have benefited from getting board games in the past, and Jasco plans on publishing a new “Street Fighter” board game later this year.

Shack News has stated that fans will have to pre-order the game from GameStop if they want the “Fallout” themed version of “Monopoly.” So far, no price has been given for the board game, though it should be available sooner or later. Most versions of the game cost around $19.99 or less, depending on the theme of the board game and the audience it's targeted for.

The “Fallout” games have always been popular with players and critics alike, usually getting very good reviews and a ton of fan theories. Fans will see if “Fallout 4” lives up to the hype later this year, as Bethesda has promised that it would be bigger than any other game in the series thus far, with no level cap and multiple people to romance. The game will be coming out on the Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 10.
