With several more players eagerly awaiting for the delayed release of the anticipated Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time, there have also been those who are said to be capitalizing on people's eagerness to play the game.

Trend Micro has spotted some threats coming that make use of the hype, with their discovery of a survey scam website as linked from a YouTube page. As per the report, the site is a typical survey scam, though no malware was detected as bait.

The screenshot showcases this supposed scam, so better steer clear of these for the meantime.

This is not the only threat, as others have popped up even in Google Play as well. Trend Micro emphasizes that these were fake app downloads or downloader for the actual app, with one in particular bringing malicious ads to the user.

According to the report, the app was detected as ANDROIDOS_FAKEZOM.A. Watch out for more of these later on.

Microtransaction for PvZ2

In the meantime, it's also good to know that a new microtransaction has been discovered in the actual game, now available in Australia and New Zealand.

According to P4RGaming, of all the microtransactions in the game, there is one that seems most ludicrous, which is the $30 worth of microtransaction that will instantly beat the game for you.

Since the game has reformatted its approach towards gaming, now banking on free-to-play with in-app purchases, it seems that, for some, this has taken away the fun of the game. Tired of repeating a level because you just can't beat those hordes of zombies? Pay up, so you'll get to the next level immediately.

This seems like a big cheat for some, with the temptation of just paying up for a free pass ever lingering while you're battling a horde. Even those microtransactions to get a power-up in case they come just a little too close to home for comfort, already seem like a very big cheat.

But according to PopCap games, this isn't the case. "Anybody can bet the game without having to engage in any microtransactions," said producer Allen Murray in an interview quoted by P4RGaming. "You just need to replay the earlier stages a few dozen times in order to get enough money to beat the harder stages. This is completely fair and fun."

Expect the upcoming Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare from EA to also have the same platform, and even an instant win microtransaction option for online multiplayer modes.

Another INJUSTICE DLC character on the way?

Martian Manhunter may be coming as the post-Season Pass DLC on July 30, but this doesn't mean that he's the last character you'll see added to the roster of heroes and villains in Injustice: Gods Among Us.

According to NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon, there's another character added to the mix, and this time, he or she is going to be wildly received by fans.

"Next one is a BIG fan favorite request!!" was the tweet that Boon replied to the query of a fan.

Fans have taken to guessing who it will be dropping names like Jon Stewart, Riddler, and Zatanna, who seems to have more fans than the previous two. Other fans in chat comments and forums have brought a bevy of names, from Power Girl, Blue Beetle, Static Shock, and Starfire.

Who's your bet on the next Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC character?
