Billy Boyd, the actor who played the mischievous Pippin in the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, recently paid a quick visit to the land of down under and even became a special guest for the pop culture expo in Brisbane.

This visit allowed him to spend a couple of days to spend in the capital of Queensland but the place still marked a great deal of good impression upon him. With 'The Hobbit' filming in New Zealand, it was part of his plan to visit the actual set but since he suddenly had to go to Canada for a movie called 'Space Milkshake,' his visit became more of a jiffy.

He heard straight from Elijah Wood that the crew who worked with them during the trilogy was the same as the ones who is working now for 'Hobbit' and the lead actor himself described as something like déjà vu.

The actor expressed how grateful he is to have become a part of such a big movie franchise. And with this fast trip he made, he is definitely looking forward to coming back and be able to surf and play music with his band called "The Beecake."

It is part of their band's plans to visit and tour around New Zealand and Australia along with doing with some UK gigs too. One thing proves to be true with this young man: he is one good mix of amazing talents!

It makes sense how much he can make the most out of the two worlds of music and movies. No matter where his band plays, for sure, some 'Lord of the Rings' fans would recognize him and scream for more.
