'Black Sails' Season 3 spoilers: John Silver talks to Billy about Flint [Watch Video]

A new promo video of “Black Sails” Season 3 episode 3 shows the increasing frustration of John Silver with Flint. The pirates are facing a challenging situation at sea that threatens their very lives.

After being stranded at sea with no strong winds to take the pirates to shore quickly, Flint (Toby Stephens) will have no choice but to cut the rations of the men. The cut in rations and the prospect of starving to death before reaching any shore will get John Silver (Luke Arnold) rattled in the next episode.

In the promo video, John tells Billy (Tom Hopper) to be concerned about the persuasive powers of Flint. It was Flint who decided to head into a storm in order to avoid surrendering to Captain Hornigold (Patrick Lyster).

Flint had argued that it was better to fight the storm rather than surrendering to an enemy who is afraid of them. England had pardoned Hornigold and his crew for piracy and had employed them to hunt down the other pirates.

While John seems to be on the edge, Billy appears to be calmer in the next episode of “Black Sails” Season 3. Billy advices John to just take his share of the rations and go. John believes that Flint’s ways will lead to the deaths of all the pirates.

John is the new quartermaster of the ship and is responsible for the welfare of the crew. The next episode will show John clashing with Flint. John has always been clear that he has joined this endeavour for the gold and has no bigger goals, while Flint is fighting a more personal battle against England.

“Black Sails” Season 3 is slowly building towards the fierce battle between the English fleet and the pirates of Nassau. England has already despatched ships to attack Nassau and the battle is expected to begin in episode 3.
