It seems that BlackBerry is trying to make a comeback, this time not just with the Z10, but with the classic QWERTY that it has been known for, the revamped BlackBerry Q10.

"We have very, very good first signs already after the launch in the U.K.," said Heins to Financial Post. 'This is going into the installed base of more than 70 million BlackBerry users so we have quite some expectations. We expect several tens of millions of units."

According to reports, BB shares rose 3.9%, landing at US $15.61, the tagged highest that it has ever been since March 21. Aside from this bit of good news for the company, BB10 device users may also rejoice at the fact that App World is continually gaining momentum in terms of new apps that have been making waves in the market.

Here are the top and recent apps that you should aim to get, as they are still free today.

Facebook

Recently updated, and still free in App World, Facebook now provides better user interface and navigation. This means that you can check messages and go through your account in a more user-friendly manner.

Digital Trends reports that managing photos are now easier, that you can even blow them up to full screen-size. Posting comments and liking your friends' photos is now manageable, and the additional Pull down to refresh feature makes it easier for you.

Skype

Skype is finally out for the BB10, though it was released for the Q10. The good bit of news first before the more troubling ones. According to TechCrunch, it is a legitimate Skype app that lets you do Skype VoIP as well as chat.

However, this does not mean that will be a very smooth experience. Based on the user review, it seems that you not only have limited BB10 devices to get the Skype app on, the actual operation of the app is far from smooth.

If anything, you have lags, unresponsive commands, and late notifications that are either delayed or uncalled for, especially when you've already signed off. For those who want occasional Skype access, it can be helpful as it does connect you to those whom you want to call, but it requires a lot of improvement to make it more user-friendly.

Perhaps, in time, the Android-based sideloaded app will be more tailored for the BB10.

IT Manager

A currently released app called the IT Manager now gives the admin a list of commands that would help you manage your BES. You can include a good deal of features with the app, particularly those that help you manage and make changes to your BES anywhere you are--without even requiring server changes.

You cans set user activation passwords, set password and lock devices, add or remove users from groups, view IT policies rules, support for managing BES 5.x and BES 10, and manage multiple BES servers at the same time.

It is currently available for the iOS and have more features including the RDP, Windows, BES, AWS, Google Apps, Telnet, and SSH, to name a few, but BlackBerryCool.com reports that these apps will soon be available for BB10 devices.

Best of all, the app comes with a free trial, so you can see if this is right for your company.

Viber

If you're not into Skype, Viber has just been released for BlackBerry 10 today. Taking up just 6MB of space in your BB10 device, you can now connect to your other iOS or Android friends, make free calls, and send free messages to other VIber friends.

This is a great step for BlackBerry, as Viber has currently been raking members for its ease of use, ever since it was no longer an iOS-exclusive app.

Twitter

Topping off the list is Twitter, which has recently received an update to fix issues for the native app.

The most recent version, 10.0.2, gives you the Connect Tab so you can view everything taking place in your Twitter account, from mentions and favorites to added followers. You can also get more content viewable via tweets, as well as see the number of times a tweet has been "favorited," reports CNet.
