Just recently, BlackBerry started taking pre-orders for its latest smartphone, the Classic, in the U.S. and Canada. However, the pre-ordered handset will reach the door steps only in December i.e. Dec. 17 onwards. This retro handset with physical QWERTY keyboard is the BlackBerry fans' dream device. It is worth mentioning that BlackBerry's "square" phablet, the Passport, has also garnered excellent reviews from the time it was launched. In the wake of good demand and impressive sales, the company has uploaded a video explaining the useful keyboard shortcuts of BlackBerry Classic (aka BlackBerry Q20) handset.

Notably, the traditional QWERTY keyboard users of the various BlackBerry Bold models will certainly find some familiar shortcuts showcased in the video attached below. Based on the video, more or less every letter on the QWERTY keyboard in the Classic can be used as a shortcut for different functions. Say for example, a long-press on the letter "B" will launch a browser window, while a long-press on "N" will immediately launch BBM and so forth, according to Phone Arena.

As far as the key specifications go, the Classic comes with a 3.46-inch display complemented by 720 x 720 pixels screen resolution. This display combination translates to a respectable pixel density of 291 ppi. The smartphone is powered by a dual-core (Qualcomm MSM8960) processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz. And the device is backed by a good 2 GB of RAM. On the software front, it runs on BlackBerry v10.3.1 OS.

Moving on to the camera specification, the device houses an 8 MP rear-facing unit with LED flash, in addition to a 2 MP front-facing shooter for selfies. Plus, the handset comes equipped with 16 GB of internal storage capacity and microSD card support for expansion up to 128 GB. Apart from the standard connectivity options, the BlackBerry Classic also supports NFC and LTE. Moreover, the device employs nano-SIM and it comes in traditional black hue. Lastly, the whole configuration is held together by a good Li-Ion 2,515 mAh battery unit.

Speaking of price, the BlackBerry Classic will set the buyers back by US$449.00, without a contract. Also, potential buyers can place an order via BlackBerry Store. There is a Q&A section right after the pre-order section, for all the queries buyers might have. First-time BlackBerry buyers should note that, this device supports GSM network only. Therefore, the Classic will not work under Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular networks. Also, interested readers can check out the BlackBerry Classic's keyboard shortcut video here:
