Blake Shelton’s ‘The Voice’ Season 9 Co-Judge Adam Levine Shaves Off Head
Adam Levine is set to return to “The Voice” season 9 with a baldhead. Along with Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani, the Maroon 5 frontman be one of the coaches of the NBC reality series, which will premiere on Sept. 21.
On July 21, Tuesday, Levine took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and his Victoria’s Secret Angel wife Behati Prinsloo with his head shaved off. He captioned the photo, “She’s into me…I think.”
Levine has been known for trying various hairstyles. In “The Voice” season 6, Shelton jokingly mocked him because of his bleached blonde hair even saying that the Maroon 5 frontman looked like Meg Ryan.
In addition, Shelton compared Levine at the time to Miley Cyrus during the show. The country music superstar was not done poking fun at this fellow “The Voice” coach. Talking to reporters after the show, he said, “Both my wives are blond now. (It is) so silly.”
Levine married Prinsloo in Cabo San Luca, Mexico, on July 19, 2014, which was two months after “The Voice” season 6 finale. They started dating in May 2012 and became engaged in July 2013.
On the other hand, Shelton recently made headlines when he and fellow country music superstar Miranda Lambert officially announced their divorce after four years of marriage . Their representatives released a statement to
The Associated Press on July 20, Monday, containing the former couple’s announcement.
Shelton and Lambert’s statement read, “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues.”
Calling the divorce a “very personal matter,” Shelton and Lambert asked the people to give them “privacy and compassion.” They got married in Boerne, Texas on May 14, 2011 after five years of dating.
Among the coaches of “The Voice” season 9, Shelton and Levine are the only two who served as coach in the first eight seasons of the NBC reality show. Williams served as coach in seasons 7 and 8 while Stefani replaced Christina Aguilera in season 7. Aguilera served as coach in season 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8. Other former coaches were CeeLo Green, Shakira and Usher.
