‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ spoilers for Jan. 31: Career creates rift between Ridge and Steffy; Zende makes a bold promise to Nicole

A growing family feud continues to get complicated on the upcoming episode of “The Bold and Beautiful” (“B&B”) opens the week. On Tuesday, Eric’s (John McCook) decision to make Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) co-CEO of Forrester Creations doesn’t bode well on Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Steffy appears to enjoy being on the top so far, and she may not be ready to share the position with anyone, even her dad. Other “The Bold and the Beautiful” characters who will figure prominently on the Jan. 31 installment include Thomas (Pierson Fode), Quinn (Rena Sofer), Zende (Rome Flynn) and Nicole (Reign Edwards).

TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s episode of “B&B,” Thomas opens up to a friendly face at Il Giardino, sharing his frustrations about his family and business. Meanwhile, Eric and Ridge clear the air and discuss the CEO position in Forrester Creations. The show’s official YouTube channel posted a preview video for the Jan. 31 episode. It features scenes with Ridge, Steffy, Thomas, Zende, Nicole, Eric and Quinn.

On the first scene, Ridge reminds Steffy, “I was running Forrester before you were born. I’ve built relationships.” Elsewhere, Thomas confides in on Zende. “While I was out there trying to sort out my personal life, Steffy was here getting appointed CEO,” Thomas complains.

Zende also figures in another part of the clip, as he tells Nicole, “You want me to prove how much I love you? I will.” Eric, on the other hand, showers Quinn with praises. “She’s very generous and compassionate,” he says. Turning to Ridge, he continues, “I look forward to the day when you see in her the same things that I do.”

On Monday, Katie wondered if she’s interrupting something between Quinn and Ridge. Quinn turns defensive and dodges the question, asking Katie instead what she’s doing there. Ridge, on the other hand, tried to distract Katie by informing her that Eric is thinking of making him co-CEO. Katie said she already knows about it, and that Quinn was the one who thought of it. Katie was clearly implying malice behind Quinn’s change of heart. Quinn refused to be interrogated further and asked Ridge to show Katie out. Later, Katie warned Ridge, telling him to be careful around Quinn. Katie also reminded him that he’s about to marry her sister. The two were unaware that Quinn was eavesdropping on their conversation. Later, Quinn had a fantasy of Ridge kissing her passionately.

Elsewhere, Liam and Steffy snuggled together as they looked at her engagement ring. They talked about their wedding, as well as their previous ones with other people. Steffy claimed that she’s confident about their relationship – she knows that she’s the centre of Liam’s world. The two kissed and made love.
