Britney Spears fans will have to wait for some time before the singer comes up with her next album. The singer is now busy with her residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino “Piece of Me” tour in Los Angeles, according to E Online. Britney recently inked a deal in September for two more years with Planet Hollywood, extending her show through 2017.

The singer last year did 50 shows, while for this year she has 50 shows lined up as part of her “Piece of Me” tour. Meanwhile, Britney confirmed that she is indeed getting ready for her ninth studio album. When it comes through, it would be a follow-up of her “Britney Jean” album that was released in 2013. The “Perfume” singer added that the progress on the album is slow.

The pop singer in her latest interview to Billboard said, “I’m gonna do [a new album] slowly but surely. I’m gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it’s not my full priority right now,” she revealed in the March 21 issue of the magazine. Besides that other things that are keeping the diva busy are her two kids, Preston and Jayden and their school.

Apart from that the 33-year-old singer is also collaborating with rapper Iggy Azalea for a duet. Spears went on to reveal the reason behind her association with the “Fancy” rapper. She said that once she saw Iggy’s song on television she loved the rapper as well as her song and wanted to work with her. Besides, Iggy is a big fan of Britney and so finally they came in together for the new album. The rapper last year in December confirmed that the two recorded a track together and it was “amazing”.

Meanwhile, Larry Rudolph, Britney’s manager has said that the singer is just concentrating on few singles and is not for a new album yet. He clearly stated that albums were not very important now with digital invasion as they were earlier but that Britney would come up with one in course of time but not right now.
