Britney Spears Takes Math Classes
When it comes to her children, Britney Spears is going to do everything -- even taking up Pre-Algebra classes so that she could contribute better on homework time. The pop singer also shared that she makes sure not to spoil her kids with money or toys.
In an interview with People magazine, Spears shared that even with her busy schedule, her number one priority is her kids, 9-year old Sean Preston and 8-year-old Jayden James. The hands-on mother said that her children go to a “really hard school” and their take home assignments can really be grueling. She said that on this week alone, they had to devote three hours a night for homework. She admitted that she herself is finding the assignments difficult. Interestingly, the mom is not giving up or hiring tutors. She prefers to be a very involved parent. She even said she is taking math class to be ready for next year, when Preston enters fifth grade and he would be doing pre-Algebra.
Even though her career is making her rich, with her Las Vegas residency earning her $50 million yearly, the “Toxic” singer is still not keen on spooling her children. She even sets strict limits on the allowances and toys that her boys enjoy. She also make sure that the boys know how carry out household chores. The boys can only get a toy a month, and this is even conditional of whether they can get a certain number of As. The boys wash their dishes, take out trash and take care of the pets.
Earlier this month, Spears also made it clear that her sons are her priority even if she is still working on her music, apart from her residency at Las Vegas. She even has a lingerie line. Spears told Billboard that her ninth album is “slowly but surely” coming together. It has been a slow process because the artist said she cannot really devote more time to it. "There's a lot going on with my kids and schools and adding new sports," she said. She added that she will make sure to release an amazing album, but it is currently not her priority.
