Bruce Jenner is a woman. That’s what he told ABC’s Diane Sawyer and the rest of the world during a two-hour long interview that aired last Friday. Now that he’s made it clear that his brain is female, there is still some confusion. Diane Sawyer herself was confused. Is Bruce Jenner gay? The self-proclaimed transgender and father of six says no. He is a heterosexual.

At the beginning of the interview, Sawyer blatantly asked reality star Bruce Jenner if he is a woman. He confirmed that he considers imself a woman. However, he also quickly pointed out that he still had all the male parts and was therefore not exactly the same kind of woman as Sawyer was.

This is where the confusion begins. As Sawyer tries to find the words to ask the question, Bruce himself gets straight to the point. “Is he gay?” he asks, throwing out the question that Sawyer could not ask. "No, I’m not gay." he declares.

Sawyer tries to bring more clarity to the situation. She asks how a man who becomes a woman can still be sexually attracted to women. She then asks if that would make Bruce a lesbian since he is still able to desire women in pretty much the same way he did all his life.

“I’ve never been with a guy, I’ve always been married, you know, raising kids.” he explains further. Sawyer still looks confused and says that people in the audience will also be completely shocked and will also be questioning if Bruce is gay. He reassures her again that as far as he knows, he is heterosexual.

In a short clip from the interview shared by E Online, Sawyer explains that sexual gender and desire are not necessarily the same. This means that even if Bruce transitions into a woman, this does not mean that he is sexually attracted to men. His attraction to women and ability to consummate relations with them could be proven by his three ex-wives and six biological children.
