Recently, there has already been a sneak peek of a screenshot of Sledgehammer Games' Call of Duty 2014, as well as the rumour that it will be codenamed Blacksmith, at least among the developers.

This time, a new rumour has pointed to the possibility that Blacksmith is actually Smith Black, a name of one of the characters coming out.

In addition, the actual game may be named Call of Duty: Patriots, but GameSpot reports that the information has not been verified as of yet.

Finally, the last of the speculations state that the setting of the Call of Duty 2014 will be in World War I, though fictionalized, with fantasy elements included. All of these may be confirmed (or not) as early as this May, which is supposedly the possible date for announcing the game, reports NowGamer.

However, it seems that the developers are looking at Call of Duty for the next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC only with reports that Wii U may be excluded in the list of platforms.

New Ghosts patch 1.11 released for the PS4 and PS3

Before you can grab the newest DLC coming for Ghosts, titled Devastation, a new patch will be arriving if you are using the PS3 or PS4 to play the game. The patch is labeled 1.11 and brings with it weapon balancing, anti-cheats, and quite the number of fixes.

PlayStation Lifestyle has the complete list of the patch 1.11 details, but here are some of the most important ones. Starting off with the fixes that are part of both the PS4 and PS3, you have the weapon balancing for the MTAR-X to reduce headshot damage multiplier, the restriction of DLC weapons for clan vs. clan and esports mode, and the following anti-cheat fixes:

- Dock exploit in Whiteout

- Map exploit on Freight

- Map exploit on Warhawk

- Overall anti-cheat improvements.

There are also fixes for Extinction, Nightfall and Mayday, which you can see in the link above. As for the PS4, you have all the fixes above, plus three more:

- Fix for the inability of a second controller to join a different clan or accepting a Clan invitation

- Fix for inability to close an error message for splitscreen guest after entering clan tag with illegal characters

- Fix for purchasing in store wherein items are supposed to be locked
