‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ v. ‘Battlefield Hardline’: Deep Dive Footage, Upgrading System And Modes Discussed
Going up the ranks and improving your character in the upcoming "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" is possible, but the EXO suits will play a major role in it. Developer Sledgehammer Games has given more details on how this will come about.
The exoskeleton is the main component in the upgrading system of the game, according to developers via an exclusive interview with Examiner. This means that gamers can improve and modify their exoskeleton as they play. They earn upgrades and changes by completing challenges and attaining required number of points.
According to Sledgehammer Games' Aaron Halon, the senior development director, this aims to make the transition easy for old-time "Call of Duty" fans as they will be trying out moves that have been designed for the futuristic aspect of the title.
"There are several different challenges and requirements you have to meet in order to earn upgrades. Basically, the more challenges you complete, the more points you'll earn," said Halon to Examiner.
In any case, those who have been waiting for the multiplayer aspect of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" would enjoy the video below. Showcased at the Xbox Wire, the clip shows the new maps and interactive elements that can be expected in Deep Dive, the multiplayer mode for the game.
As for the long-time rival of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," "Battlefield Hardline," MP1st has managed to get new details straight from its developer, Visceral Games. Among these is a potential beta run coming in January, though this time it is rumoured to only be available for next-gen consoles and PC players. Whether or not this means that the beta run will feature higher specs and resolution to fit the PC and next-gen consoles has not yet been confirmed.
For the details of the games, the developers have also announced that there will be 150 ranks offered at launch, though Battlefield Premium members may enjoy more rewards and benefits that are as of yet unannounced and unspecified.
In addition, some weapons have been named by Steve Papoutsis, general manager at Visceral Games.
Some of these weapons include the M1911 handgun, the ballistic shield and the M416 assault rifle. All of the weapons coming out for "Battlefield Hardline" have also been saved from visual recoil this time.
For those looking at competitive play, eSports Mode will be announced later on, though there are already two eSports mode planned for "Battlefield Hardline." A Spectator Mode is also in the works, bringing the expected modes to a total of five.
