‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3’ Xbox One Pre-Orders Outnumber Those Of PS 4 In The U.S.
The pre-orders for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” for the Xbox One has reportedly outnumbered those of the PlayStation 4 in the United States, according to VGChartz. As seen on the website, a table has been created to show the difference in the number of pre-orders that the game has had for both famous gaming consoles.
And, according to the results, two weeks’ worth of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” pre-orders for the Xbox One is at 174,000, while pre-orders for the PlayStation 4 only stand at 120,000. Gamepur has reported that this is a very impressive feat for the Microsoft Xbox One, considering that, in the U.S., there have been 700,000 more PS 4 units that were purchased, as compared to the Xbox One.
As stated in the report, one major reason why sales of the yet-to-be released game has been purchased more for the Xbox One platform would be a pre-existing timed exclusive DLC deal that Activision has with the Xbox One maker, Microsoft. However, the rumor mill is also abuzz with reports that this timed exclusive deal might experience some changes soon since Activision has reportedly recently decided to work with Sony for “Black Ops 3.”
Although Activision is focusing on releasing “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” in time, this does not necessarily mean that the company has already stopped supporting the “COD” game they launched last year, “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.”
In fact, Gamespot has reported that a new DLC for the game for both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 – in the form of an add-on for Supremacy – has reportedly been released very recently. With this expansion, gamers are introduced to four new multi-player maps – Athens, the Colorado Mountains, London and Moscow.
Another feature that is part of Supremacy is the next episode for the Exo Zombies mode, which Activision has dubbed as “Carrier.”
