‘Call of Duty Infinite Warfare’ will get a new take on franchise, more zombies teased
Novelty and evolution are always at the heart and soul of new installments of a game. That includes the upcoming “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” from Infinity Ward.
From the looks of it, Infinity Ward will still maintain an approach that harks back to the way that the way “Call of Duty” as a franchise feels like. However, “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” will also deliver something different.
In fact, speaking to Gamingbolt, Infinity Ward’s Brian Horton stated that the team will be making use of the new setting in space to deliver all-new mechanics to the game.
“We looked at the three-year investment we had as an opportunity we had to innovate and space seemed like a really rich place for new mechanics and give the player an all-new experience that they haven’t had before in Call of Duty ,” said Horton to Gamingbolt.
Interestingly, the developer has also been teasing the “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” zombies mode. according to Charlie Intel, a “big premiere” is expected on Aug. 16.
The developer has tweeted that fans should get ready for a scream. There are no specific details of how zombies will be like for the next title, but Infinity Ward has already hinted that it will bring a new experience for zombies as well. This suggests having the storyline take place in a different universe, compared to the space setting that “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” will take place.
Apart from the new teaser coming this week, the developer also eased that there will be more Infinite Warfare Zombies intel to come once Gamescom hits starting Aug. 16 to 21.

“Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” will be out on Nov. 4 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
