Despite already being available for a year and a half now, "Candy Crush Saga" is still holding onto the craze and addiction among players, so much so that developer King has made a bold move.

The developer has just trademarked the word "Candy" last Jan 15 and what's even bolder is that it got approved. While this may not mean much, it seems like King is trying to dominate the gaming scene that features anything that has to do with candy.

According to Forbes, game developers are receiving emails from Apple so long as they have an app on the App Store that contains the trademarked word. But it seems that the developer does not intend to impinge on the actual use of the word "candy" in an app's title---so long as the game is not a very common app as King's very profitable game.

The report also states that, while there are already developers who are starting to become frustrated with the new mechanics that Apple is implementing, King's intention is channeled towards the "copycats" that are impinging on "Candy Crush Saga's" success.

"We have trademarked the word 'CANDY' in the EU, as our IP is constantly being infringed and we have to enforce our rights and to protect our players from confusion. We don't enforce against all uses of CANDY---some are legitimate and of course, we would not ask App developers who use the term legitimately to stop doing so," said a representative from King to Forbes.

'Battlefield 4' PS4 and PC DLC Release date Leaked

In the midst of what's happening over at DICE and EA, it seems that developers are still hard at work in trying to deliver more content for gamers of "Battlefield 4."

The latest rumour about content for "Battlefield 4" comes from Now Gamer with a spotted conversation between EA and a customer regarding the Second Assault DLC for the PS4 and PC release date.

*Beyond the VR headset, Sony may also be looking at other ways to play and control the game using motion controls: Read the full story here.

The release window that was reported was Feb 2014, which can be seen as a big progress considering that Second Assault is a timed exclusive and that DICE is limiting the work that it is currently doing to fixing the bugs on the "Battlefield 4" game.

However, this is still nothing more than a rumour because neither DICE nor EA have announced anything related to the Second Assault DLC.

Previously, only leaked as a product listing on Xbox.com, GameSpot reports that Microsoft has already announced the Fable Trilogy bundle's digital release, though details are still scarce for now.

But the previous rumour had pointed out that "Fable Anniversary" will be available for $40, while "Fable II" and "Fable III" will cost $20 and $15, respectively. The pricing for the games has not yet been confirmed, but if it's an estimate of the bundle, that's a pretty good price.
