Almost ten months after the passing of Irish makeup artist Cathriona White, Jim Carrey's late girlfriend, a suicide letter written for the actor was revealed. The message contained an apology which was followed by "I'm just not for this world."
"I've spent three days now in disbelief that you're not here. I can go on brokenhearted and try to put the pieces back. I could, I just don't have the will this time," the letter read according to a report by TMZ. "I'm sorry you felt I wasn't there for you. I tried to give you my best part."
"I don't really know about burial or that sort of thing. You are my family so whatever you choose will be fine," Cathriona continued on her letter. "Please forgive me. I'm just not for this world." TMZ also said that according to sources close to the Hollywood actor, the two did not really break up. Rather, they were cooling off from their relationship.
On September 2015, Cathriona was found lifeless in her apartment at New York. According to Yahoo! News, the autopsy revealed that she has been overdosing on medicated painkillers, both hers and Jim's. E! Online said that court records revealed a text message from Cathriona's phone. The text asked about where the painkillers were kept.
"I am shocked and saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled," Jim stated. "My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt." Cathriona was also reported to have attempted suicide when her father died in 2012. Similarly, she was overdosing on medications.
